Hi Michael,
Thanks for the list. How do I add those that are missing to my pi-star p25 gateway?
I think you would need to talk to the Pi-Star team. I don’t know how they get their host list for the P-25 Reflectors.
Update – The P25 hosts file is located at /usr/local/etc/P25Hosts.txt – edit that, and new reflectors are available in the webUI.
add to /root/P25Hosts.txt ;
# VK4
4 p25.duckdns.org 41004
# Canada 302
302 p25canada.hopto.org 41000
The info above was sourced from VK4TUX directly or indirectly.
Anyone know if P25 TG allocations are handled the same way DMR TGs are (ie. Ask the BM admins)?
I don’t think there is any central organization. Monitor a talkgroup, key up and ask if anyone is monitoring. If not, go for it.
I don’t think there is any central organization. I noticed the Pi-Star team has a database they use with their app. You might want to reach out to them. http://www.pistar.uk/p25_reflectors.php
We can probably update this list with PAPA stuff 😉
Done
Good afternoon. I just downloaded Droidstar and have it running on my desktop. I wanted to try P25, but could not find much info on setting it up. Is the host file the same as the TG? (I doubt it). I know the TG in use around here is 31077, Where do i find a host? Rusty K1GGS
Rusty, In P25, the host and talkgroup are really the same. There isn’t a central network as in DMR. Each reflector is a stand-alone server and needs to be listed in the “hosts” file on your software. So selecting a host is the same as selecting a talkgroup.
Thank you for the information. I am new to p-25 and will be using pi-star
Is there an updated list?
You can find the complete list on the Pi-Star site. http://www.pistar.uk/p25_reflectors.php
